Megi illustration

👋 Hello there

My name is Megi Chkhetia, a Front-End Web Developer who loves transforming designs into fast, accessible, and responsive web experiences.

I specialize in crafting custom WordPress themes, building React & Vue interfaces, and designing intuitive user flows in Figma and Adobe XD.

Whether it’s prototyping a new feature or optimizing an existing page, I bring both creativity and technical precision to every project.

Outside of coding, you’ll find me sketching computer geek illustrations such as the one I designed for my business card, bringing an Alice in Wonderland scene to life for my illustration & Photoshop final project in Illustrator, experimenting with CSS art, or sipping too much coffee while mastering web performance tricks.

Lego World

Lego World is a Vue.js powered app that helps builders track each set’s progress from in the box to built. Under the hood it uses Firebase for real time storage and user authentication, allowing users to sign in with Google or email, create a profile, and mark their builds as in progress or complete.

Emily Henry’s author site is a labor of love redesigned from top to bottom with a fully custom WordPress theme. An OOP-driven plugin showcases her novels, while custom post types with intuitive meta boxes host heartfelt reader reviews. Shortcodes, custom CSS, and JavaScript come together to power a smooth, accessible mobile menu that works beautifully on any device. A hand-crafted interactive quiz page invites visitors to discover which of Emily’s stories resonates most, driven entirely by custom logic. Every template and script has been fine-tuned for fast load times and a warm, romantic tone that captures her storytelling voice.

EastCastle Place

EastCastle Place’s website was redesigned as the capstone project with a fully custom WordPress theme and hand-crafted React Gutenberg blocks that make each housing option shine. Dedicated pages for every living arrangement guide visitors effortlessly, and a streamlined navigation menu keeps important details just a click away. Careful research into tour scheduling and contact solutions led to selecting Forminator and WPForms, both styled to match the refreshed branding. Modular Sass-powered styles tie everything together, while optimized templates, blocks, and plugin setups ensure fast load times, solid accessibility, and a warm, inviting design.

Peach Barn Prototype

Peach Barn’s website was completely redesigned as part of our Usability class project. Working with my team, I reimagined several key page layouts, crafted a fun and creative header navigation and footer, and then built a fully clickable prototype in Figma. The new design delivers a clear journey from the home page through things to do, and private events with a warm and engaging style that brings Peach Barn’s charm to life.

HERA Website Redesign

HERA’s site was completely overhauled for a real‑world client brief. I built a custom WordPress theme that preserved their original logo, designed a bold homepage banner to welcome every visitor, and integrated MasterStudy LMS to deliver a free AI course. After evaluating several platforms, we chose MasterStudy for its flexibility and ease of use. Finally, we trained the client on publishing and managing their course content so they can update the site independently.
